Impressions of Monaco
A feminin vision
Following the best-selling books by Laure Adler and Camille Viéville on the theme of women artists, and the 2024 inauguration of FAMM, the first museum dedicated to them, female creativity is booming! In this spirit, Espace 22 will host the exhibition "Impressions of Monaco, a Feminine Vision" from December 3 to 17, 2025, with the support of the Committee for the Promotion and Protection of Women's Rights, the Union of Monegasque Women, CGM, and other partners, as well as the endorsement of Beli, an iconic Monegasque artist, as the exhibition's patron. This exhibition is a tribute to female creativity and the contemporary revival of the Impressionist spirit. Three women artists will unveil their works, where light, color, and texture convey a sensitive vision of Monaco—a blend of tradition and modernity.
Liudmila Sun, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Moldova and trained as an Interior Architect in Milan, has held numerous exhibitions worldwide, notably in Japan, Luxembourg, France, Italy, and Switzerland. She reinvents Impressionism through her use of gold and silver leaf, creating unique lighting effects. Ebba Balestra di Mottola studied painting at the Charles H. Cecil Studios in Florence and holds a Bachelor's degree in Art History from Stockholm University. Known for her sensitive portraits, she also paints landscapes in an Impressionist style, with a luminosity typical of Northern European painting. Delphine Lanzara trained with landscape artist Yvon Bonnaffoux, founder of the Hyperimpressionist School of Corbières-en-Provence, whose aim is to achieve a vibrant use of color through the exclusive application of the palette knife. She has participated in several exhibitions in Monaco, including the Artists' Forum.
The gallery will be open to the public from December 3 to 17 from 11am to 6:30pm (Monday to Saturday) and the opening, in the presence of the media and partner institutions, will take place on Thursday, December 4, 2025.
